Pocket Hero app for iPhone and iPad

Pocket Hero was created to keep you safe and sound anywhere, no matter the situation.

Pocket Hero sends alerts to those around you, your emergency contacts and contacts emergency services simultaneously if you find yourself in a concerning situation and need assistance.

Pocket Hero’s first function involves three level of alerts, depending on the severity of situation you find yourself in

Alert Level 1- Notifies all Pocket Hero users within a 500m radius from where the alert was created.

Alert Level 2 - Records video from the user’s phone which is streamed to all Pocket Hero users within a 1km radius and all your emergency contacts.

Alert Level 3 - Has the combined features of Level 1 & 2, and can also call emergency services, utilising your location to connect with closest service appropriate.

When activating any of the alerts, other users will receive the alert as a notification on their phone and can see the exact location and details of the situation. Other users are then able to respond to that persons alert and assist if they are able to do so. Users responding to alerts are known as Responders, whilst those creating alerts are referred to as Alerters. The alert function of Pocket Hero is designed to reduce response time in concerning or dangerous situations using the simple model of looking out for others in the community.

Activities Feature

Pocket Hero’s activity feature allows users to log their favourite activities for their friends and family to see. During setup, the user can write a short description for their activity; like running along a certain track or kayaking a particular waterway.

Users can also add a photo or video in relation to their activity, such as a Google Maps®, or your running outfit.

A timer is then started for the estimated amount of time the activity will take to completed. On completion of the timer, if the user does not enter a pin an alert with the full description of the activity and any photos/videos will be sent out to all Pocket Hero within 500m as well as the user’s family and friends.

The Activities Feature provides peace of mind to users and friends and family when engaging in potentially dangerous activities.
